Enduro MTB
wheelMainstreamFrance, 2003
A mountain biking format that times only the downhill stages while requiring riders to pedal between them. Enduro rewards the complete rider — one who can climb all day and descend at race pace.
History
Enduro emerged in the early 2000s in Europe as a response to the gap between XC and downhill. The Enduro World Series launched in 2013 and quickly became one of the most popular competitive formats in mountain biking.
Culture
Enduro culture celebrates versatility and adventure. The community values riders who can do it all — climb, descend, navigate, and endure — over specialists in any single discipline.
